Make a miniature cubic room
A cubic room is a small printable model of a room: a cut-away cube that shows walls, floor and simple furniture at miniature scale. The Jarvis 3DP tool turns a room and its furniture into a desk-sized model that is ready for 3D printing.
What is a 3D printed miniature room?
A cut-away cube shows a room from the inside: walls, floor and simple furniture at miniature scale. It can be a bedroom, a studio or your favourite café, small enough for a desk. Such a model is both decoration and a gift that recalls a special place.
How the cubic room maker works
The tool runs in your browser:
- Define the room and the furniture in it.
- The tool builds the room as a cut-away cube.
- Simple miniature furniture is arranged inside.
- Download the model and print it on your 3D printer.
The model size is set to sit on a desk.
Material, size and colour
PLA suits this model. Because it has small details, a low layer height and a moderate print speed give a better result. Desk rooms are commonly about 10 to 15 cm.
For a better look, print the walls, floor and furniture in separate coloured filaments or paint them with acrylics after printing.
Who is it for?
It is for decor and miniature fans, gifts for someone who loves a particular place, interior designers who want a simple mock-up, and children who want their dream room on the desk.
