Online brick maker for 3D printing

The Jarvis 3DP brick maker is a brick editor in your browser: build your model out of bricks and download parts that fit real Lego. Studs and tubes are sized for a real clutch, and the export is ready for home 3D printers.

3D printing Lego-compatible bricks

With a 3D printer you can make bricks that sit on real Lego, such as a piece that is missing from your box or a large build with a shape of your own. The main challenge is the exact size of the studs and tubes, and the brick maker takes care of that for you.

How the brick maker works

The tool runs in your browser with nothing to install:

  • Place bricks side by side and on top of each other on the grid to build your model.
  • The brick dimensions are worked out to click onto real Lego.
  • Export the parts for a home printer.
  • Print the parts and snap them together.

Before printing many parts, test one and check that its clutch suits your bricks.

Material, accuracy and size

PLA or PETG with a layer height of 0.12 to 0.2 mm suits bricks. Because the clutch depends on accuracy to a few tenths of a millimetre, filament shrinkage and a well-calibrated printer matter, and a test piece helps you find the right settings.

The brick size follows the standard Lego grid, and the size of the whole build depends on your printer’s bed.

Who is it for?

It is for children and adults who love building, makers of custom projects and decor, workshop teachers, and 3D printer owners who want to make the parts they cannot find.

Frequently asked questions

Can you 3D print Lego bricks?

Yes. The brick maker builds bricks whose studs and tubes are sized to clutch real Lego, and they print on a home printer.

Do I need to install software?

No. The brick editor opens in your browser and you build the model there.

How tight is the fit?

It depends on your printer and filament settings. Print one test piece before the full run and tune accuracy or flow if needed.

Which filament should I use?

Both PLA and PETG work. PLA prints more easily, and PETG gives a little more flex for the clutch.

What if I do not have a printer?

Send the export through the custom request form and we will give you a price and a print time.
