Turn a game map into a 3D print
The Jarvis 3DP game map tool turns an area of a well-known game’s map into a printable 3D model, with terrain and landmarks. Pick your favourite game world, cut out a region and put its miniature on your desk.
What is a 3D printed game map?
Open-world games have maps we spend hours exploring. A 3D game map model turns a piece of that world into an object you can hold, with the mountains, plains and landmarks you know from the game.
How it works
The tool runs in your browser:
- Choose a game and its map from the list of well-known games.
- Mark the area you want on the map.
- The tool turns the terrain and landmarks of that area into a 3D model.
- Download the model and print it on your 3D printer.
Pick a smaller area to keep more detail in the printed model.
Material, size and colour
Terrain and natural models print well in PLA. Because game maps are often rugged, a 0.2 mm layer height is a good start, and you can use thinner layers for more detail.
The model must fit your printer’s bed. For colour, paint it with acrylics after printing or print with green, brown and grey filaments.
Who is it for?
It is for gamers who want their favourite region in hand, for gifts to gamer friends, for decor in game studios and cafés, and for tabletop and role-playing games that need a 3D map.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a 3D model from a game map?
You choose the game from the list, mark an area of its map and the tool builds a print-ready 3D model of it.
Which games are supported?
The tool supports the maps of well-known games, and you can see the list inside the tool.
What size should I print?
Desk models of 10 to 20 cm are common. The final size must fit your printer’s bed, otherwise it can be printed in several parts.
How do I make the model look more realistic?
After printing, paint it with acrylics or an airbrush, or print the different parts in coloured filaments.
What if I do not own a 3D printer?
Send the model file through the custom request form and we will give you a price and a print time.
